ABOUT ME

Latrice is a native of Washington, DC that now resides in High Point, NC. She has been enthralled with lighting since her introduction to technical theatre in 10th grade. From there she continued her lighting training at North Carolina Central University with a BA in Technical Theatre concentration lighting. To further her knowledge and skills even more, she attended University of Missouri Kansas for her MFA in Design & Technology in Lighting Design. Latrice is currently creating lighting designs for theatre, opera, concerts, dance, wedding/receptions, small events and live entertainment. Latrice has worked at Howard Theatre, Kennedy Center, University of the District of Columbia, Mason/Rhynes Productions, Culture Shock DC, Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Chloe and Maud Productions and multitude of other organizations. Along with designing she also works as a lighting technician, consultant, programmer and event planner.  In 2018, Latrice established Lovett Lighting LLC, where she believes in capturing visions and giving it life through lighting.
